Laundry will be picked up to be washed, dried, folded, packed in clear bags and delivered. KC Northland area orders are prioritized.

General services are $1 per pound. Express delivery (same day) and large capacity items serviced for an additional fee. Commercial requests welcome (i.e. hotels, dentist offices, salons/barber shops, massage parlors, etc.)

Orders may be placed at any time, but Rah's availability is best when placing an order between Sundays 8pm through Tuesdays 8pm*.

In-app rating and gratuity highly recommended.

If not personally available, another laundry pro will service you. This includes locations outside of the Kansas City Metro area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit to how much laundry I can get done in one order?

Nope. However, I am human. For every 100 pounds, I may need to request an extension for an extra day on the delivery due date. There is also no limit to the number of orders you can place each week.

Will you iron my clothes?

No. I wash, dry, and fold only. When you provide the hangers, I also deliver hanging bags of clean laundry (see photo above).

What happens if I order when you’re not available?

Orders can be placed at anytime. If you request me, I am notified between 7am-9pm.

I pickup and service orders Monday through Friday between 8am-8pm. If I am unavailable or full capacity when your order is placed your have a few options:

• Agree to be flexible* and stay in the queue until my next availability. (This option is best if you have time to wait an extra 1-3 days before delivery.)
• Keep me as your preferred Laundry Pro but be serviced by another. (This option is best if you have an urgent need.)
• Cancel your current order and create a new order Sundays 8pm - Tuesdays 8pm. (This option is best if you feel most comfortable being serviced by me.)

*Be sure to note the “I’m flexible” option in the order process to be placed in the queue for upcoming openings.

Why the story behind the name "The Other Wash Day"?

I'm glad you asked! Aside from my talent at folding clothes, I also use my attention to detail as a writer.

My current project is a book about the natural hair journey, especially as experienced by Black women who wear locs. "Wash day" for coily hair is quite the process. It's also a special time dedicated to self-care.

The "other" wash day, is related to washing clothes. The correlation is that I'm using my laundry side gig to help finish my writing project. Stay tuned for more details on publishing!
